Orna Schneerson Pascal
Orna is a Brighton based artist, whose main mediums are acrylics on canvas and acrylics markers on paper. Her older works also include large oil paintings, and in more recent years she also ventured into textile designs with a range or cushions, towels and blankets.
Her creative process is meditative and completely intuitive, and she takes inspiration from organic shapes and forms which is apparent in her repetitive patterns and the flow of her paintings.
Orna lived and studied art in Paris, travelling, painting and exhibiting widely. In 1991 she moved to London where she had her first UK Solo exhibition in the Bridge Gallery East London, was one of the house artists at the ‘Le Chat-Noir’ gallery and exhibited in Covent Garden, Mayfair. She Moved to Brighton in 2001 and has since exhibited regularly in Brighton, Lewes, Manchester, Cornwall and London.
In 2016 Orna had a solo exhibition in Farley Farmhouse, home of Lee Miller and Ronald Penrose.
In 2020 her painting was selected by Habitat to be turned into a limited edition cushion sold across the UK, as she won alongside two other artists.
In 2023, HM King Charles has visited her solo exhibition in JW3 in London.
Her unique studio overflows with colour and vibrance and her work is a must-see for all who love art and life.
